Annual Parish Meeting – May 4th, 7pm

The Annual Parish meeting will be held remotely using the Zoom platform on Tuesday, May 4th at 7pm.  This will be followed by the Annual General Meeting of the Parish Council.

The Annual Parish Meeting(APM) is a legacy from the Middle Ages, when Local Councils did not exist, and all local decision making was carried out by meetings of the whole community, taking place in the church vestry. The Annual Parish Meeting is open to all electors, who have the right not only to attend but also to speak on any matter of local interest. This is in contrast to a Council meeting, where electors who are not Councillors have no automatic right to speak other than during the Open Forum.  The Chairman of the Parish Council chairs the meeting.  Electors can take a vote on any topic and pass resolutions but the Parish Council does not have to act on them.  The Agenda and Zoom link to join can be found below.
