The original monument to the French Napolionic prisoners of war standing at teh side of the Great North Road. It stood here from 1914 until the Eagle was stolen in 1990A cottage which once stood at Norman Cross circa 1906. It is believed that the cottage once stood next to the Court House and at one time was lived in by a Mrs Stanyon
